Make a Referral

Thanks for choosing HyOx and entrusting us with your care. Please initiate the referral process by completing an online form or by calling our office. Our goal is to schedule an initial consultations within 24-72 hours of receiving the referral by phone or electronically. Emergency hyperbaric treatments (especially in case of crush injuries, carbon monoxide poisoning and decompression illness) are available at select times in our multi-patient hyperbaric chamber. If you have a patient with an emergent medical issue, dial 9-1-1, and instruct hospital emergency department staff or EMTs to release the patient to HyOx at the proper time for hyperbaric oxygen treatment.

HyOx’s patient advocacy team will request office notes, recent labs, surgical/procedure reports, a radiation summary (if applicable and available), and other information needed for the initial hyperbaric medicine consultation. After a patient’s initial visit, we will communicate the patient’s hyperbaric oxygen therapy candidacy and protocol. Once treatment begins, HyOx sends regular progress notes with photographs (if possible) to show healing progression to you and others on the care team.

With a timely referral and patient compliance to therapy, we expect optimal results as the benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy help resolve complications from cancer, infections, trauma, and wounds. HyOx follows the standards and safety protocols set by its accrediting the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS).
