The patient, a 70-year-old male, was referred for adjunctive hyperbaric oxygen therapy for a traumatic left lateral slowly progressive necrotizing fasciitis leg wound. The patient sustained multiple injuries to his bilateral lower extremities and his back. Most of the wounds healed with wound care and antibiotics; however, he developed cellulitis in his left lower leg. One of the wounds began to enlarge despite the additional course of oral antibiotics, continued wound care and topical antibiotic ointments. The patient received 55 hyperbaric oxygen treatments from 2/02/2010 to 5/03/2010.

Result: Resolved infection and wound healing. Following hyperbaric oxygen treatments, the patient underwent physical therapy at HyOx for balance and improved coordination.
