The Miami native’s love for scuba diving and training as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force sparked his pursuit of developing Atlanta’s preeminent hyperbaric medicine facility, HyOx Medical Treatment Center, in 1999. Dr. King’s years prior as a rehab doctor working to salvage limbs and help patients regain quality of life proved Atlanta’s need for adjunctive hyperbaric oxygen therapy to advance healing in complex wounds and injuries from trauma, infection and disease.
