Chronic Osteomyelitis — Left Toe

This 83-year-old diabetic female was referred to HyOx Medical Treatment Center for chronic osteomyelitis of the left great toe. The patient had difficulty with her left foot for approximately 18 months. She first lost her left second toe and then had an amputation of the left great toe. The patient participated in 42 hyperbaric oxygen treatments over a three-month span.
Result: At discharge, the patient showed good healing progression and the chronic osteomyelitis was resolved
