The patient, a 79-year-old female, underwent surgery on 07/19/2011 for recurrent ductal carcinoma in situ of the left breast. She underwent an initial lumpectomy in 2006 for left breast ductal carcinoma, with subsequent radiation with MammoSite of 3400 cGy. The patient had difficulty with healing from the initial surgery for approximately 18 months. Since her recent surgery, the patient’s wound became larger. She was referred to HyOx Medical Treatment Center and participated in eight hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments.

Result: Healing.
