Necrotizing Fasciitis — Left Arm

This is a 70-year-old female with a complicated past medical history including coronary artery disease and aortic dissection repair, aortic valve replacement, renal insufficiency, and hypothyroidism. The patient developed acute necrotizing fasciitis secondary to a dog bite on 10/7/11. The patient was admitted to the hospital and underwent multiple incisions and radical debridements. The patient was referred to HyOx Medical Treatment Center and participated in 50 adjunctive hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments.
Result: Healing. The patient was able to return to her prior activities of daily living.
