Necrotizing Fasciitis – Left Heel


The patient, a 48-year-old white female with diabetes, was presented to HyOx for hyperbaric and Anodyne treatment for necrotizing fasciitis of the left heel and failed grafts.  The patient received She had debridement and started antibiotic treatment.  She had a combination of MRSA, Enterococcus faecalis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.  The patient received 75 hyperbaric treatments, realistically starting over as of 1/10/05 and now status post 36 hyperbaric treatments.  End Result:  The patient’s condition was improved – including diabetic neuropathy in her lower extremities.
